We shine louder together
LightEmUp invites you to shine at whatever brightness feels most genuine to you. Here, we flip the script on the divisive narrative and around something simple: caring for others matters. This space connects the sparks, amplifies sincere action, and tunes into something bigger when we move forward together.
We want to see you glow. College and trade school scholarships. Kindness projects. Humanitarian ideas. You name it. If your impact is anchored in unity and compassion, we can help you fuel your future.
Our network is about real love, real action, and real community. We don’t see anyone as competitors; we’re building something beyond all that. It’s about showing up, growing together, and lighting a positive, purposeful path forward.
Let’s LightEmUp.
LightEmUp is a 501(c)(3) social-good platform built to ignite the next generation. Share your sparks—uplifting ideas and actions—so that our community can power them to new heights. Here’s how:
Light Up:
Use methods of storytelling to spread kindness and connection like wildfire! Create and share inspiring stories, songs, photos, poems, or videos.
Glow Up:
Plug it in and pass it on. Repost what resonates, join events or contests, add your voice with votes, donate to someone’s spark—or launch your own. Every light you lift fuels the grid.
Power Up:
We’re ready to ignite your ideas. Get your project seen, apply for scholarships or seed funds, find volunteer ops, or even score a college rec. You’re not alone. We supercharge your light!
Each of us is powerful on our own. Together? We can light up a generation. One spark is strong. A surge shifts culture. Share your sparks and together, we’ll LightEmUp!
My grandfather, Second Lieutenant Joseph Sambus, Jr.—my Umpa—was my first love, soulmate, and greatest teacher. A D-Day glider infantryman, he plunged into darkness, choosing faith over fear. Amid chaos—shattered plans, scattered men—he trusted instincts, regrouped with comrades, shared resources, and fought for humanity.
His mission: Build a runway for freedom near Picauville, France, carried by the 313th Troop Carrier Group. They lit the path for reinforcements, pushing freedom forward—not just for soldiers, but for the future.
Umpa never called himself a hero. Guided by divine nudges and his inner voice, he saved lives—like the push that made him drop, sparing his platoon. He entered the dark for hope, humanity, and tomorrow.
In hospice, holding his hand and tracing his worn Bible, I promised: I’ll carry your lessons. You’ll live through me.
That vow birthed LightEmUp.
I’m no soldier—a wife, mother of four—but I’m stepping into the unknown, faith over fear, gathering those ready to leap, fight, and save humanity.
LightEmUp is a virtual runway for tomorrow’s heroes: Unite in the dark, share gifts, alter history. Just as Umpa lit the way on D-Day, we light it for leaders, servers, and fighters for our future.
We are in the darkness again, but light is rising.
Will you jump with us?
Together, we’ll LightEmUp.
